Hope Worship Music

If you have the gift of music and a love for Jesus, we encourage you to audition to join the team! After your information has been submitted, you will receive a follow-up email regarding next steps. Next steps may include joining the team and setting up a time to connect to discuss expectations and time commitments, or additional feedback and coaching on the skills observed in the audition videos. 

• Come together each week with others who love to sing! Participants should be committed to weekly rehearsals and singing once a month during multiple services in addition to special events and holidays. New participants are always welcome; no auditions necessary! 
• Rehearsals: Wednesdays, 6:00-7:15 pm, in the Choir Room at Hope West Des Moines (takes a break in the summer)

• Rejoice! Youth Choir is open to all students in grades 3-8. Together, we experience the joy of musical worship, prayer and praise, all while learning about God’s word through scriptural references within songs. We sing during services throughout the year to share our musical gifts with our church family. New participants are always welcome; no auditions necessary! 
• Rehearsals: Wednesdays during the school year, 5:00-5:45 pm in the Choir Room at Hope West Des Moines

The Traditional Service ensembles help worshipers experience the truth and love of Jesus Christ through instrumental and vocal music. If you are interested in serving in any of these ensembles, please fill out this opportunity form or learn more below.

Adoration Chapel Choir performs monthly during Hope’s Traditional Service, the annual Lessons & Carols service, and other events throughout the year. All singers (high school age and up) are welcome to join! Rehearsals are Wednesdays at 7:15 pm. For more information contact Karen Strempke at [email protected].

The Hope Orchestra also performs monthly during Hope’s Traditional Service, as well as the annual Lessons & Carols service and Christmas Cantata. Adults and accomplished high school musicians are welcome to join! Rehearsals are Monday evenings at 6:30 pm. For more information contact Bobbi Garringer at [email protected]. 

Ring of Hope handbell choir is another monthly Traditional Service performance, along with the annual Lessons & Carols event. This choir welcomes adults and accomplished high school musicians. Rehearsals are Thursday evenings at 7:00 pm. For more information contact Diane Smith at [email protected].

The Chapel Brass perform at the Traditional Service on a monthly basis and the annual Lessons & Carols event. The Chapel Brass is for adults and accomplished high school musicians.
