Join us at Hope West Des Moines for our annual summer festival, Taste of Hope! The day will include food, family-friendly games, arts and crafts, worship, and so much more!
Bring the whole family to help celebrate the end of an amazing two weeks of Vacation Bible School. See you there!
The day will include FREE family-friendly activities in the Hope West Des Moines parking lot and outdoor worship at 5:00 pm. All are welcome! Activities include:
Inflatables and games
Delicious food
Make-and-take crafts
VBS music
Fun giveaways
Face painting
Interested in volunteering?
It takes hundreds of volunteers to make this event successful and safe for all the kids. We need help with inflatables, bingo, food, and other fun areas at Taste of Hope!

Taste of Hope Golf Outing
Join us for a four-person shotgun-start scramble golf outing at Beaver Creek Golf Club. Sign up yourself or a team of four!
Cost: $75 per person or $285 per team (includes 18 holes, cart, lunch and pin prizes)

Taste of Hope 5K & Kids’ Fun Run
Get your walking and running shoes ready for Hope’s annual 5K & Kids’ Fun Run! The 5K will begin at 8:00 am. The 5K course starts and ends at Hope and runs on the West Des Moines bike path system.
The Kids’ Fun Run (age 11 and younger) takes place in the church parking lot at 9:00 am (distance varies by age). No registration is needed for the Kids’ Fun Run.
T-shirts are guaranteed for the first 200 paid entrants. Packet pick-up will take place at Hope Friday, July 26, 5:30-8:00 pm and Saturday, July 27, 7:00-7:45 am.
Cost for 5K by July 20:
Age 12 & older – $30
Age 11 & younger – $20
Cost for 5K after July 20:
Age 12 & older – $35
Age 11 & younger – $25
Kids’ Fun Run – Free
